CM Shri Chouhan condoles Shri Khushwant Singh’s death

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has expressed profound grief over the death of eminent writer and journalist Shri Khushwant Singh. He died at the age of 99 today.

In his condolence message, Shri Chouhan described Shri Khushwant Singh as a versatile talent. He gave outstanding contribution as a journalist, writer and columnist. The Chief Minister said that through his writings, rich from historic, literary and contemporary viewpoint, late Shri Khushwant Singh groomed a new generation of writers and journalists. His comments on Indian culture, literature and philosophy of life became sources of inspiration. His death has caused an irreparable loss. Country has lost a thinker writer. Shri Chouhan has prayed to the Almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear this loss.
