CM Shri Chouhan not to celebrate birthday

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will not celebrate his birthday in view of natural disaster caused by unseasonal rains and hailstorm in the state. It is noteworthy that farmers’ standing crops of wheat and gram have suffered extensive damage due to hailstorm and rains.

The Chief Minister is interacting with farmers continuously, inspecting damaged crops and consoling affected farmers. Shri Chouhan has urged all sections of society to come forward to help farmers. In the interest of farmers, the Chief Minister has met President Shri Pranab Mukherjee and demanded special Central package of Rs. 5 thousand crore. The state government has provisioned Rs. 2000 crore for relief.

It is noteworthy that Chief Minister’s birthday is on March 5. Large number of his fans and party workers come from all over the state to wish him. In view of crisis faced by farmers’ families, the Chief Minister has decided not to celebrate his birthday.
