Conduct peaceful and impartial elections

Madhya Pradesh.

Elections in the state should be conducted with peace and impartiality. For this, all arrangements should be made timely. This was stated by Chief Electoral Officer Shri Jaideep Govind while reviewing election preparations in Chhindwara Lok Sabha constituency today.

Deputy Election Commissioner of India Shri J.K. Rao, Additional Chief Electoral Officer Shri V.L. Kanta Rao, Joint Chief Electoral Officer Shri S.S. Bansal, Deputy Chief Electoral Officer (Law & Order) Sushri Sonali Mishra, DIG Chhindwara Shri Joga and other officers were present on the occasion.

CEO Shri Govind said that arrangements for shade, drinking water etc. should be made at every polling booth so that maximum number of voters can exercise their franchise. He said that polling staff and security personnel should be given honorarium timely.

Collector and district election officer Shri Sanjeev Singh informed that all arrangements have been made to ensure free and fair elections in the district. Apart form chalking out election works’ communication plan, arrangements for payment of honorarium to polling staff and security personnel have also been made. SP Shri Purushottam Sharma informed about police arrangements for election.

Review at Satna and Rewa

Chief Electoral Officer Shri Jaideep Govind also reviewed Lok Sabha election preparations in Satna and Rewa today. Shri Govind said proper law and order arrangements should be made at polling booths so that voters can exercise their franchise impartially.

Commissioner Rewa division Shri Pradeep Khare informed that for the inspection and tour of polling booths sector officers and sector police officers have been appointed in Rewa and Satna constituencies who will help in ensuring free and fair elections.

IG Rewa Shri Pawan Shrivastava, Collector and district election officer Rewa Shri S.N. Roopla and Satna Shri Mohanlal and other officers were present on the occasion.
