Skill development training to 35 thousand students

College and university students will be imparted skill development training during year 2014-15. Higher and Technical Education Minister Shri Umashankar Gupta has said that training will be imparted to students in trades of their choice.

Training will be imparted to 10 thousand students of 110 selected colleges through skill development centres in 6 universities. Besides, a target has been set to impart skill development training to 15 thousand more students by selecting some colleges under Star Scheme.

Discussions are also being held with America’s “In Luman” company for job-oriented training to students. The company has chalked out programme to hold 2-day orientation workshop for 2 principals each of government colleges of Bhopal and Indore.
