Decision taken at meeting in presence of Minister Shri Gaur
Bhopal.
A meeting of traffic-related officers in the presence of Home and Jail Minister Shri Babulal Gaur and Additional Chief Secretary Shri S.R. Mohanty here today decided that 23 more traffic signals will be started in the city in the first week of September. For this, a formal programme was chalked out and the Additional Chief Secretary directed officers to work accordingly. Commissioner municipal corporation Shri Vishesh Garhpale, SP Shri Shashikant Shukla and other officers were present on the occasion.
Reviewing process of installing 16 hybrid signals and blinkers for ensuring smooth traffic movement, Shri Gaur said that budget for 13 signals has been received. He directed to demand budget for remaining signals by chalking out action plan. Tender process for this should be started at the earliest. Additional Chief Secretary Shri Mohanty said that every work should be completed within the time-limit. Officers must ensure that signals are started in September at every cost. The signals are to be installed at PHQ trisection, court crossing, Vallabh Bhavan rotary, ISBT, Govindpura trisection, Mata Mandir crossing, Gandhi Park trisection, Retghat trisection, Prabhat crossing, old SP Office crossing, Aquarium crossing, Income Tax office crossing, Thandi Sadak crossing. DSP Traffic has been directed to hand over within a day a list of additional and necessary places where signal blinkers are to be set up.
