Flying squads seize cash and other material

Flying squads have swung into action in view of Lok Sabha elections in 29 constituencies in Madhya Pradesh. So far, flying squads have seized one Bolera, 5340 flags, 3080 caps, 3850 stoles and 1925 torans during search operations in Chhindwara and Saunsar. Total 14 thousand 196 heads of material estimated to cost Rs. 6 lakh 50 thousand have been seized. The flying squad seized Rs. 27 lakh cash at Badnagar in Ujjain Lok Sabha constituency. Silver plates weighing 479 kg and costing Rs. 2 crore 80 have also been seized there.

Similarly, the police has also seized Rs. 3 crore 7 lakh in search operations in the state so far. One FIR has also been registered.

Illegal Liquor

In the mean time, Excise Department conducted 218 raids on March 10, seized 774 litre country liquor from various places and arrested 100 persons in 124 cases. During raids, 34 litre IMFL was also seized and 14 persons arrested during these 218 raids. In another action, 20 litre beer was seized and 4 persons arrested.
