Maximum demand of 6970 MW met
1503.03 lakh units of power supplied on June 6

In Madhya Pradesh 17 % more power than last year and maximum demand of 6970 MW has been met this year. On June 6, 1503.03 lakh units of power were supplied, which is 13 percent more than last year’s supply of 1324.61 lakh units in June.
MP Power Management Company’s Managing Director Shri Manu Shrivastava informed that from June 1 to 6 in year 2013, as many as 7496 lakh units of power were supplied. This year, 7496 lakh units of power were supplied in the corresponding period, which is 17 percent more.
At present, power is being supplied as per demand. In this, contribution of company’ thermal power plants has been 394.99 lakh units and hydel power plants 95.61 lakh units. Maximum 6970 MW power was supplied in the state on June 6, this is 17 percent more than 6543 MW power supplied in year 2013.
Power supply situation in the state is satisfactory. As a result of better management of all power sector companies, all types of consumers are getting quality power as per their demand.
