Payment of remaining Rs. 96 crore, buildings of GRP stations and Shatabdi till Habibganj

Railway Minister Shri Gowda assures Home Minister Shri Gaur

Railway Minister Shri Sadanand Gowda has assured Home Minister Shri Babulal Gaur to ensure payment of remaining Rs. 96 crore due on rail administration, sanction of 141 posts in railway police, providing buildings for railway police stations and running Shatabdi express from Habibganj railway station. State’s Home and Jail Minister Shri Babulal Gaur handed over these proposals during a meeting with Shri Gowda in New Delhi today.

Shri Gaur informed the Railway Minister about long-standing demand of Bhopal’s residents to run Shatabdi express from Habibganj railway station. The Railway Minister assured of running Shatabdi Express from Habibganj soon. Shri Gaur informed that state has yet to received Rs. 97 crore 57 lakh 14 thousand 871 borne as half of expenses on GRP officers and employees posted in the state as on December 2013 from rail administration. The rail administration has also stopped payment of pension grant, which used to be paid before December 2012. Besides, adjustment of amounts of other expenses in bills of electricity charge, damage quarter rent, building rent, PWD, Development Authority, Irrigation Department, building security and Communication Department is also not proper.

Shri Gaur urged Shri Gowda about ensuring rail administration’s consent to creation of 141 new posts by state government in year 2013, sanction to remaining 30 posts out of 41 posts sanctioned by Railway Board, make available buildings for railway police stations at Habibganj, Shivpuri and Rewa. Shri Gaur also handed over proposals for constitution of standing committee of railway security committee and safety of railway passengers. Railway Minister Shri Gowda assured of early action on these proposals.
