Books in Braille script to be published for blind students

Union Human Resources Minister Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani interacted with students of Government Maharani Laxmi Bai Girls Post-graduate College here today. In reply to girl students’ questions, she said that inter-state student exchange policy will be framed. This will give opportunity of one state’s students to study in other states.
Replying to a question by sight-impaired girl student Ku. Mamta Eliya, the Union HRD Minister said that books of good writers should be published in Braille script. She said that writing and reading materials and other basic facilities should be provided to disabled students in all educational institutions.
In reply to Ku. Shruti Sharma, Smt. Smriti Irani said that government is making efforts to promote industrialsiation so that maximum number of youths can get jobs. Smt. Irani said that all vacancies of teachers in state’s higher and school education institutions should be filled up at the earliest. She also replied to questions raised by students Ku. Pooja Sharma and Ku. Devyanshi Pandey. Smt. Irani asked Ku. Devyanshi Pandey to send her views in writing about inter-state student exchange policy.
Higher Education Minister Shri Umashankar Gupta said that constant efforts are being made to improve quality of higher education in the state. Minister of State for School Education Shri Deepak Joshi proposed a vote of thanks.
Principal Secretary Higher Education Shri J.N. Kansotiya, Union Additional Secretary HRD Smt. Amita Sharma and other officers were present on the occasion.
