The World Travel Awards is one of the world’s most prestigious accolades in the travel and tourism industry, recognizing organizations that deliver outstanding products and services worldwide. Winners are determined through votes from industry professionals, travelers, and consumers.
This year’s recognition builds on Vietjet’s strong track record at the World Travel Awards, following three consecutive titles as
“Asia’s Leading Airline – Customer Experience” in 2023,
2024 and 2025, as well as “Asia’s Leading Airline Rewards Programme” in 2024.
The latest accolade reflects Vietjet’s ongoing brand development across multiple passenger touchpoints – fares, service quality, and brand identity. Alongside expanding its network and scale, Vietjet is transitioning toward a hybrid airline model, continuously enhancing the overall passenger experience.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, Vietjet’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “Vietjet is entering a new phase of growth, repositioning itself as a leading hybrid airline with an increasingly diverse portfolio of products, services and experiences. We envision a Vietjet that not only brings destinations closer, but also creates greater value, richer experiences, and new possibilities to passengers around the world. Vietjet will continue to take Vietnam’s spirit of innovation to new horizons while building an Asian airline brand with a global footprint.”
According to Brand Finance, Vietjet’s brand value rose 117% to USD 906 million in 2026,
placing the airline among the world’s Top 50 most valuable airline brands for the first time and making it the world’s fastest-growing airline brand that year. This growth has been driven by Vietjet’s international expansion strategy, including India, with Vietjet operating direct flights connecting Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
In the first six months of 2026, Vietjet carried more than 13.4 million passengers on 72,000 flights across a network of 213 routes, including 46 domestic and 167 international routes. The airline has also placed orders for more than 600 Airbus and Boeing aircraft, laying a strong foundation for its long-term growth strategy.
