Programme was started with lighting lamp in front of picture of goddess Saraswati. The guests also garlanded on the picture of Pandit Deendayal on the occasion. Collector CB Singh and other officials presented bouquet to the guests.
Ranjana Baghel addressing on the occasion said that the chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is launching and implementing various schemes in interest of public.
She further said that a large number of entitled beneficiaries are being given benefit through schemes in Antyodaya Mela which are being organized with a view to provide benefit to poorest of the poor of the society.
WCD Minister further said that the chief minister has launched welfare schemes to all the communities in last 7 years. He took the health of women and children seriously and launched such beneficiary oriented schemes as a result institutional maternity percentage increased from 26 per cent to 85 per cent and mother mortality rate and infant mortality rate decreased.
Minister for State of Public Health and Family Welfare Department and district in charge minister Mahendra Hardia was the chief guest in block level Antyodaya Mela in which 24000 beneficiaries were given cheques worth Rs16.54crore. The beneficiaries were also given grant, approval letter, certificates etc.
Excellence school girls presented Madhya Pradesh Gaan and other songs based on woman empowerment whereas tribal dance group presented tribal dance which was commended by all.
The programme was presided over by WCD Minister Ranjana Baghel.
Dhar MLA Neena Verma, Zila Panchayat chairman Kunwar Manoj Singh Gautam and Dhar municipality chairperson Mamta Joshi were present as guests of honour.
Janpad chairman Radhu Vasunia, collector CB Singh, Zila Panchayat CEO RK Mishra, Janpad members and corporators were also present on the occasion.
A large number of public representatives, officials, beneficiaries, local citizens and journalists were present on the occasion.
