A team of Andhra Pradesh government engaged in necessary administrative preparations for formation of new state of Telangana called on Chief Secretary Shri Antony de Sa at Mantralaya here today. The Andhra Pradesh government team sought detailed information about necessary legal aspects pertaining to formation of a new state and procedure undertaken by Madhya Pradesh government at the time of formation of Chhattisgarh. Retired IAS officer and the then Chairman of State Advisory Committee Shri N.B. Lohani was also present on the occasion.
The Andhra Pradesh team was led by Shri C.R. Kamalnathan, Chairman of State Employees Allotment and Guideline Committee and Chairman of State Bifurcation Committee. Senior officers of Madhya Pradesh government gave important guidance to Andhra Pradesh’s team on the issue. Principal Secretary General Administration Shri K. Suresh gave detailed information about desired points. Advisor to State Planning Commission Shri M.K. Tyagi and Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of various departments were present on the occasion.
The Andhra Pradesh team sought information about bifurcation of Madhya Pradesh in year 2000, formation of Chhattisgarh state and constitution of committees for final allotment of officers and employees in the new state. The meeting was informed that in respect of courts, judges and judicial staff for new state, necessary action will be taken through High Court of the undivided state. The Andhra Pradesh team also sought information about action taken by Madhya Pradesh government’s Finance, Industries, School Education, Energy, Home, General Administration and Water Resources departments, Electricity Board and other corporations and boards.
