Energy Minister Shri Shukla distributes eligibility slips during Food Security Festival

Energy and Public Relations Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla has said that Annapurna Yojana has proved to be boon for the poor in the state. Under the scheme, wheat, rice and salt is being provided to poor families at the rate of Re. one per kg. He said that state government has done an outstanding work by providing whole month’s ration to the poor in just one day’s wages. Energy Minister Shri Shukla was addressing a function under Food Security Festival at Rewa today.
The Energy Minister said that over 3 lakh 52 thousand families in Rewa district have been brought under the purview of Food Security Act. He said that names of left out families will be included in the scheme on priority. It was informed that 74 thousand 743 families under Antyodaya Anna Yojana and 2 lakh 77 thousand 295 priority families are getting benefit of the scheme. Public Relations Minister Shri Shukla applied Tilak with soil of Kargil to 16-year-old Kumari Naina Soni of Rewa, who visited Kargil under Maa Tujhe Pranam Yojana.
Launches plantation programme
Public Relations Minister Shri Shukla launched plantation programme in Rewa by planting a sapling. As many as 30 thousand saplings will be planted under the programme. Shri Shukla said that plantation will be undertaken on a wider scale in the district.
Archaeologists should come forward to preserve Baghelkhand’s history and culture
Public Relations and Energy Minister Shri Shukla also inaugurated a 2-day symposium on Baghelkhand’s history and culture. Shri Shukla said that pictorial display of researches focusing on Baghelkhand’s history and culture so that maximum number of people get knowledge about them. He said that tourist spots are being developed to attract foreign tourists in Rewa including Chachai Fall, Rani Talab, Chirhua Talab, Mukundpur Tiger Safari, Deoar Kothar, Laxman Bagh etc. Mayor Shri Shivendra Singh and Municipal Corporation Chairman Shri Ripudaman Singh were also present on the occasion.
