Home guard going for election duty dies in road mishap

Kin of deceased to get Rs. 5 lakh ex-gratia

Home guard Shri Jai Karan Prajapati, coming for poll duty from Banda, Uttar Pradesh died in a road accident near Bada Malahra in Chhatarpur district. On the directives of Election Commission of India, Rs. 5 lakh ex-gratia amount will be given to next of kin of the deceased. Chief Electoral Officer Shri Jaideep Govind has directed to provide ex-gratia after seeking a report from that district. Home guard Shri Jai Karan Prajapati son of Shri Ram Prakash Prajapati was going for poll duty on November 19 by bus from Banda to Narsinghpur.
