“Sanitation -Special Campaign-6.0” is being organized in BHEL Bhopal from 2nd to 31st October 2026.

Bhopal, October 27, 2026: In accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Heavy Industries, a  "Special Cleanliness Campaign 6.0" is being organized at the BHEL Bhopal unit—as it is across the entire BHEL organization—from October 2 to October 31, 2026. Various cleanliness drives and awareness programs are being conducted as part of this initiative.

Under the leadership of Executive Director Shri Pradeep Kumar Upadhyay, a series of events are being held throughout the month. These include, most notably, cleanliness drives within the factory premises, across the township, and at key locations within the township, as well as awareness programs for school children.

As part of this initiative, a large-scale cleanliness drive was organized at the Kamala Nehru Children's Park in Barkheda. Led by General Manager (Human Resources) Shri Hemram Patel, the drive saw enthusiastic participation from employees and officers across the township, the Human Resources Department, the HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Department, and the Public Relations Department.

Focused on the theme "Effective Collection, Segregation, and Disposal of E-waste," BHEL Bhopal is actively working toward the proper disposal of electronic waste. Every department at BHEL Bhopal—including Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Commercial—is taking necessary steps to identify and dispose of e-waste.

All the aforementioned programs are being organized under the joint aegis of the Human Resources Department and the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Department.
